WL Claim

WL is for waiting for lodging. Whenever you find yourself waiting for lodging for more that 30 minutes, you are due WL for each minute after the first 30. Please keep detailed notes as to why you were declined lodging and put them in with an FE on the woring ticket. The WL window will ask for your Relieved time, Declined time, and Lodging Aquired time. Then you will have to figure up your miles due @ 16.25mph. Time is totaled from Declined time to Lodging Aquired time, minus 30 minutes.

Example; you tie up @ 1400, taxi to the hotel and are told @ 1430 that they have no rooms. You are required to call CLC to get the ball rolling on finding you propper lodging. After waiting, they call you back, send you to another lodging and you finally Aquire the room at 1700. Your total WL time is 2 hours for 32.5 miles. Total time from Room Declined to Room Aquired is 2.5 hours, minus .5 hours equals 2.0 hours.

Relieved Time: 1400

Room Declined: 1430

Room Aquired: 1700

Miles: 32.5

Remember, after your Room is Declined, you have to run off 30 minutes before payment begins. The 30 minutes does NOT start at the relieved time, it starts 30 minutes AFTER the Declined time. This claim is good for both Engineer and Conductor.
